AGRARIAN SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DIAGNOSIS
This module is a mix between theoretical and practical knowledge about Agrarian Systems. It is important to understand what an agrarian system is? Then you will be able to follow the next modules which are the three steps used to analyze agrarian systems. In this course you will learn to describe, as the first step of agrarian diagnosis methodology, an agricultural landscape and to formulate hypothesis about farmer's decisions, based on your observations of the landscape. As the second step, this module will explain to you the impact of history on farmer's choices, and consequently on the landscape. The last module of Agrarian Diagnosis is about the third and last step: The modeling of production systems in the area under study. This step implies to finely analyze the technical and economic features of the different farming systems identified during the two first steps.
